Making their mark: This isÌýÌýof profiles celebrating members of Rochester’s graduating class of 2018.
Studio arts majors in the cap off their senior year with an art thesis exhibition, and since last month this work has been on view in galleries on River Campus and in the Rochester area. The shows are a culmination of each student’s hard work and dedication as artists. The ten students graduating this year have covered various topics in their shows, including the intersection of the food and pharmaceutical industries, social interaction and anxiety, and the role of the professional artist in today’s society. Their installations work with a wide variety of mediums including acrylic on canvas, video, and audio materials.

Madilynne Lee ’18 is a business and studio art double major. Her exhibition Rejecting Loneliness was featured at the Luna Gallery in April.
Sarah Sun ’18 is a studio art and marketing double major. Her senior art exhibition Interference is featured at the Gallery at the Art & Music Library at Rush Rhees Library, from May 1-18.
Sandy Loomis ’18 is a studio art and business double major. Her senior art exhibition Seeking Truth: Food and Other Drugs is featured at the AsIs Gallery at Sage Art Center, from May 1-8.
