RSRB (IRB) Membership
The 糖心logo Subjects Review Board (RSRB) is the University’s Institutional Review Board (IRB). The RSRB reviews all human subject research conducted or supported by employees or agents of the University of Rochester. To do so, the RSRB has established 5 internal reviews: 3 biomedical, 1 HIV & oncology and 1 social-behavioral board.
The RSRB is comprised of a diverse roster, including volunteer faculty/staff and local community members.聽All boards comply with applicable federal regulations, state law, and institutional policy.

Interested in participating?
If you are interested in joining an RSRB board, please contact the RSRB Director. The RSRB typically maintains about eight to ten members per board. They may seek individuals with specific areas of expertise, based on their current needs.
As detailed in OHSP Policy 302: RSRB Membership & Composition, RSRB members are responsible for:
- Actively preparing for and participating in board meetings;
- Completing initial board member training requirements;
- Maintaining Human Subject Protection (IRB Member) training via the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative; and
- Complying with applicable OHSP policies.
