Serpentine Coils
A serpentine coil is generally flat and formed by bending the tube. The term coil refers to the repetition created by the number of passes, and their total then make up a coil.
Pictured here are 3/4" stainless tube, 3/16" stainless tube, 1" carbon steel tube and 1" stainless steel tube.
The 1" stainless is pictured bundled in nested (platten) form. Notice the end bends moving inlet and outlet out of plane.
All were formed without welds.
