Off-Campus Professional Development
The Teaching Center provides instructors with professional development funding to attend off-campus conferences and workshops on higher education pedagogy and the scholarship of teaching and learning. The purpose of the grant is to provide access to intensive and specialized professional development opportunities beyond the foundational programming available through the Teaching Center.
Instructors are eligible if they have already participated in Teaching Center programming. In addition, they must consult with Teaching Center staff to determine whether the center is able to support the instructor's pedadogical needs.
Eligible off-campus professional development should be focused on teaching. In general, academic disciplinary conferences with a small element focused on teaching are not eligible.
Grant requests are reviewed on a rolling basis until funds are depleted. To apply, contact the Teaching Center.
