The second novel in Donnelly’s “Tea Rose” trilogy, The
Winter Rose follows a young physician in
turn-of-the-20th-century London who finds herself attracted to an
East End gangster rather than her aristocratic fiancé. Donnelly
won the Carnegie Medal and the Los Angeles Times Book
Prize for her young adult novel A Northern
Light.

bass), and Diego Garcia (cello)—features traditional Argentine
tango music and the music of Astor Piazzolla. Stone, Garcia, and
McCormick also are faculty members at the Eastman Community
Music School.
